IZOVAC offers a unique method of deposition of the anti-reflective protective diamond-like carbon coating (DLC)
on germanium or silicon substrates used as IR windows. The method is based on sputtering of the graphite target and
decomposition of the hydrocarbon in plasma of gas discharge with the subsequent creation
of the ion beam, which allows obtaining quasi-amorphous DLC. This method allows
configuring manually the energy of the condensing elements within the range of 20-60
eV.
Currently IZOVAC process germanium and silicon substrates with the maximum size of 340 mm x 360 mm with garanteed thickness uniformity of +/-3%. To
ensure the required uniformity along the whole substrate's surface our ion-beam source is designed up to 500 mm long.

The transmission curves for one-side and two-side diamond-like carbon coatings are presented
below:

The germanium optics with our DLC have successfully passed all necessary environmental
and optical/mechanical tests applicable to such products. Special tests were also conducted at Thompson Co. (France) using "Catherine" IR camera and showed
complete compliance of our coatings with the most recognized international
standards.
